Duane Michals has long been a hero of mine so I was honored to work on this catalogue and the accompanying exhibition. With essays by curator Linda Benedict Jones, Allen Ellenzweig, Marah Gubar and Aaron Schuman, Storyteller includes 90 original works, work by other photographers who have been influenced by Michals, three articles, an interview, several spreads from his artist books, commercial work and an annotated timeline of his life with rare archival material. Michals’ handwriting on each endpaper begins and ends the book. 9.75 x 11.75 inches, 240 pages.
