The day was today.

For the Gestures show at Mattress Factory, curator Heather Pesanti asked everyone participating to take inspiration from an essay by Robert Smithson and Mel Bochner about an apocalyptic landscape. I created a lo-tech sign in reflective adhesive vinyl. It’s almost invisible during the day and briefly lights up at night whenever a car drives past—giving everyone who glimpses it a little less to worry about.
