For a show entitled Book at 709 Gallery, I transcribed the complete dialogue of scenes from four movies and one television show from the 1980s that I still remember because they were scenes where the male character is either professing his love to, breaking up with, or being dumped by the female character. Each scene is given a pair of case-bound books with the male’s dialogue on the recto pages and the female’s dialogue on the verso pages—each with one word per page.
